Global Chief Medical Officer

Responsibilities

• Lead global clinical development strategy and execution for the company's pipeline
• Oversee clinical trial design and execution for Phase I-IV cell therapy studies
• Provide strategic direction for clinical teams across the US and China
• Act as a key clinical resource in interactions with regulatory agencies including FDA, EMA, and NMPA
• Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional clinical development teams
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, academic institutions, CROs, and KOLs
• Ensure clinical programs comply with GxP and ICH standards
• Guide the preparation and submission of IND and CTA applications
• Oversee clinical trial data review and risk management strategies
• Represent the company at scientific conferences and advisory boards
• Collaborate with Commercial and Medical Affairs on product launch and market access strategies

Requirements

• MD or MD/PhD with specialization in hematology
• 15+ years of experience in clinical development
• Significant experience in hematology and cell/gene therapy or advanced biologics
• Proven track record leading clinical programs from Phase I through commercialization
• Deep knowledge of clinical trial design and GxP compliance
• Direct leadership experience in global clinical operations
• Experience in a CMO or senior medical leadership role within a commercial-stage biopharma company
• Experience working in a publicly traded company
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across diverse geographies, including China
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
