Global Category Director

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end 7-step strategic sourcing process for assigned categories, including spend analysis and market research.
• Develop and execute aggressive procurement strategies and sourcing plans to drive value across global entities and joint ventures.
• Lead high-stakes negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
• Manage supplier relationships through structured scorecards, business reviews, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering and R&D, on cost-improvement and business continuity projects.
• Maintain and update category strategies, including market analysis and risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Proven experience in supply chain and category management.
• Technical background with familiarity in Semiconductor Fabrication.
• Direct experience managing categories involving chemicals and/or bulk and cylinder gases.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contract terms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work on-site in Newport Beach, CA, on a daily basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Process Engineering or similar semiconductor fab environments.
• Proficiency in Hebrew or Japanese.
• Strong understanding of corporate financial analysis.
