Responsibilities

• Help lead the expansion of Semafor business from a twice-weekly briefing to a daily must-read
• Break significant, agenda-setting stories on the business and finance beat, including private credit, hedge funds, and private equity
• Write reported columns and analytical pieces for a sophisticated audience of executives and investors
• Develop and maintain deep, senior-level sources across Wall Street and financial institutions
• Appear on TV, podcasts, and live journalism to host interviews with senior business leaders
• Work closely with colleagues across the global newsroom

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a proven, scoop-hungry reporter
• Demonstrated track record of sourcing on Wall Street and inside boardrooms
• Ability to develop smart, authoritative takes on major financial news
• Experience in fast-moving, ambitious newsroom environments
• Strong ability to move between breaking news and long-form analytical writing
