About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the full benefits lifecycle, including annual strategy, budget planning, and day-to-day employee support.
  • Lead end-to-end open enrollment processes, including project management, communication plans, and system testing.
  • Design and optimize a comprehensive benefits portfolio covering medical, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, and voluntary offerings.
  • Manage self-funded and fully-insured health plans, working closely with TPAs and stop-loss carriers.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for benefits brokers and carriers, leading RFPs and contract negotiations.
  • Administer and improve benefits configuration within Workday to ensure data integrity and a seamless user experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Payroll to ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and SOX.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive benefits experience with direct ownership of a benefits function.
  • Proven experience leading open enrollment independently.
  • Deep expertise in medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, and 401(k) plans.
  • Hands-on experience managing both self-funded and fully-insured health plans.
  • Proficiency in Workday Benefits configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in both high-growth startups and publicly traded companies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret utilization data and benchmark against the market.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as CEBS or CBP.
  • Experience administering benefits across multiple international geographies (EMEA and APAC).
  • Familiarity with equity compensation education and the benefits implications of RSU/ESPP plans.
  • Experience supporting companies through an IPO or major M&A transactions.
