Glassmaking DMET Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to 8 technicians to maximize equipment uptime, reliability, and safety.
• Develop a proactive safety culture focused on injury elimination.
• Monitor and escalate troubleshooting needs for process equipment to ensure product quality and plant throughput.
• Partner with SMET, Reliability, and Engineering teams to improve troubleshooting efficiency and PM effectiveness.
• Manage the logging of all repair activities in the Plant CMMS system.
• Identify key downtime drivers and implement projects to reduce event occurrence and duration.
• Coordinate training, cross-training, and certification for mechanical and electrical technicians.
• Participate in new technology receivership to ensure equipment meets 24/7 manufacturing standards.
• Monitor and manage Repair & Maintenance spending levels to drive cost reduction.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong engineering and problem-solving skills with CMMS and TPM experience.
• Six Sigma certification.
• Proven ability to coach and develop leaders and individual contributors.
• Ability to make decisions and prioritize work under time pressure.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for multiple organizational levels.
