GL Accountant

Responsibilities

• Provide financial support through month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate expense accruals for month-end accounting cutoff
• Prepare expense variance explanations comparing actual spending against the plan
• Oversee the work of external accounting providers
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on past due accounts
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company travel & entertainment policies
• Assist with local statutory audits, filings, banking relationships, and treasury activities
• Support ad hoc analysis for the India team and assist with quarterly forecasts and yearly budgets

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of professional accounting experience
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP
