GL Accountant

Responsibilities

• Record and review day-to-day accounting entries including revenue, payroll, and bank entries
• Ensure compliance with Group and local accounting rules (French/Swiss GAAP / IFRS)
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and business systems, analyzing variances
• Monitor intercompany balances and prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare account reconciliations and audit support documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Contribute to financial statements and consolidation reporting
• Prepare and file external tax returns such as Corporate Income Tax and VAT
• Monitor accounting entries related to the pension fund (IAS 19)
• Participate in the creation and update of Finance Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years of experience in general accounting or an accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, IFRS, and Swiss accounting standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP being an advantage
• Fluency in French and English (B2+ level)
• German language skills are a plus
