GIS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Input, process, and maintain Lighting and Smart Services data within the DistGIS database
• Conduct spatial analysis using ESRI-based GIS software to produce specialized map products
• Create Construction Prints to support Lighting Design Analysts
• Maintain high standards for data quality and reconcile database conflicts to improve performance
• Perform analysis using various GIS tools to support Distribution Operations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in GIS or Geography strongly preferred)
• Proficiency with the ESRI suite of GIS tools
• Strong cartographic and spatial analysis skills
• Experience working with enterprise GIS databases
• Knowledge of ArcFM, Designer, and Express Sketch
• Ability to create, query, and update databases using SQL, Oracle, or MS Access
• Must qualify on the EEI TECH test

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with database development
• Understanding of basic electric distribution design and construction
• Experience with lighting types, fixtures, and controls
