GIS Analyst/Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and support custom GIS applications and tools for asset management and transportation systems
• Perform geospatial and statistical analyses, integrating and transforming datasets
• Design, test, and maintain ESRI GIS environments including ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Server, and Desktop
• Write and optimize code in Python and SQL for data management, analytics, and automation
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and GIS Maps
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate analytical results into actionable recommendations

Requirements

• 5–10 years of custom GIS development and asset management experience
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ESRI GIS software (ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Server, Desktop, ArcPro)
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with HeXagon and Microsoft Dynamics
• Expertise in database design, data quality control, and spatial analytics
• Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or Transportation/Civil Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years supporting railroad or transit industry projects
• Experience with R or Java
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
