Girls' Varsity Head Basketball Coach

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all aspects of the Girls' Varsity Basketball program, including teaching technique and running drills.
• Organize and lead practice sessions while developing physical conditioning programs for athletes.
• Train, encourage, and motivate a roster of approximately 15-20 student-athletes from grades 9-12.
• Manage meet and tournament logistics for both home and away games.
• Model the philosophies and values associated with the Middlesex School athletic program.
• Actively participate in the recruiting process by identifying and engaging potential student-athletes in coordination with the Athletic Director and Dean of Admissions.
• Ensure athlete safety by teaching and enforcing rules and regulations regarding equipment and play.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience playing basketball at the collegiate level or higher.
• Experience coaching basketball at the high school level or higher.
• Ability to pass CHRI, CORI, and SORI background checks.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Willingness to travel regionally within the New England market for away games.
