Gift Entry and Advancement Data Specialist

Responsibilities

• Accurately process, acknowledge, and report charitable contributions to Doane University.
• Ensure gifts are recorded in accordance with donor intent, University gift acceptance policies, and IRS regulations.
• Provide operational support for advancement data integrity, reporting, and donor stewardship.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc reports to support fundraising and engagement efforts.
• Maintain accurate donor and gift records.
• Communicate gift income information to the business office to ensure proper accounting.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience working with databases or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a higher education or nonprofit environment.
• Background in data entry, reporting, gift processing, or administrative support.
