Gift and Data Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Receive, deposit, and process daily donations via mail, online, wire transfer, and stock
• Maintain and update constituent and designation records within the Advancement CRM
• Reconcile posted gift sessions with the Finance department to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate with Donor Engagement to facilitate acknowledgment letters and gift receipts
• Scan and index all gift documentation and receipts into the CRM
• Support high-volume gift entry campaigns such as Giving Day and year-end giving
• Identify and correct data inconsistencies to improve overall data quality
• Implement internal control best practices regarding the handling of gift monies

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or a minimum of three years of relevant experience in gift processing and records management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with CRM databases
• Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a higher education or non-profit setting
• Familiarity with Ellucian CRM Advance or Technolutions Slate for Advancement
• Knowledge of CASE Reporting Standards and IRS regulations regarding charitable contributions
