GI Advanced Care Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive GI-focused patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
• Provide specialty gastroenterology care by prescribing medications and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests
• Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions and adjust treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on GI health, disease prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, IV insertion, and EKGs
• Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records

Requirements

• Current CA License as NP or current CA Licensed PA
• 2+ years of experience as a practicing NP or PA-C
• BLS & ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Availability for flexible weekend coverage
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency, or Family Medicine
• Strong GI experience and exposure to internal medicine knowledge
