GI Advanced Care Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive GI-focused patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide specialty gastroenterology care by prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
• Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions and adjust treatment plans to optimize clinical outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on GI health, disease prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and dietitians to coordinate care.
• Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, IV insertion, and EKGs.
• Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records.

Requirements

• Current California license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• 2+ years of experience as a practicing NP or PA-C.
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Flexibility to provide weekend coverage.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency, or Family Medicine.
• Strong clinical knowledge in treating adult populations.
