German/Italian Curriculum Designer

Responsibilities

• Act as an in-house subject matter expert on German and Italian grammar and style
• Design and write clear, engaging, and interactive questions to evaluate phonics, grammar, reading comprehension, writing strategies, and vocabulary
• Edit user-facing content and collaborate with writers, editors, and illustrators to ensure accuracy and quality
• Manage projects and collaborate with software engineers and visual designers to deliver high-quality content
• Create guidelines, processes, and documentation to support a growing team
• Hire and oversee a team of Italian- and German-speaking content creators

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Italian, German, Linguistics, Education, or a related field
• Fluency in German, Italian, and English, with outstanding written communication skills
• Experience teaching new languages to adult learners
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design
• Familiarity with common language assessment frameworks such as CEFR or ACTFL
• Ability to work onsite in the Raleigh, NC area

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with HTML, Jira, or Git
