Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Encourage residents’ independence and assist with self-care
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and nail care
• Assist with toileting, incontinence care, and changing linens
• Help transfer residents safely and obtain help for total lifts
• Assist with meals and ensure resident comfort at rest times
• Respond promptly to call lights and report changes or injuries to supervisors
• Apply standard precautions and follow isolation procedures
• Support restorative and rehabilitative care
• Perform unit cleaning duties and other required tasks

Requirements

• Current GNA certification in the state of Maryland
• Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred
• Passion for providing compassionate, resident-centered care
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality
