Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program Director

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning, implementation, and overall direction of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship
• Manage 20% administrative time dedicated to program directorship and 80% clinical practice
• Ensure absolute compliance with ACGME, ABIM/ABFM, and Joint Commission requirements
• Oversee fellowship faculty selection, recruitment, and annual evaluations
• Manage fellow selection, orientation, quarterly progress reviews, and final evaluations
• Coordinate educational activities including monthly journal clubs, board reviews, and core didactics
• Serve actively on the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC)
• Provide high-quality, direct patient care within the coastal community

Requirements

• Board certification in Geriatric Medicine (ABIM/AOBIM or ABFM/AOBFP)
• Current or eligible medical licensure in the State of Delaware
• Minimum of 3 years of documented ACGME educational or administrative experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated professional leadership and ability to serve as a role model
