About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer all aspects of hard parts inventory to ensure maximum efficiency
- Complete weekly cycle count matrices and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Scan and manage all product outflows within the store
- Promote and enforce workplace safety, including PPE compliance
- Review and maintain inventory accuracy and documentation
- Delegate and supervise inventory merchandising tasks
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention
- Maintain center appearance and merchandising presentation standards
- Manage excess stock and ensure accurate allocation
- Sequence the parts area to accommodate new fast-moving goods (FOG)
- Ensure planograms are updated, labeled, and discrepancies are reported
- Collaborate with the General Manager on merchandise transfers
- Process Direct Store Delivery (DSD) merchandise and maintain records
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and retail operations
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in retail inventory management or automotive parts handling
- Familiarity with AutoZone systems and operating procedures
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to lead tasks and support team members
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and bilingual communication (Spanish and English)
