Gerente de Contraloria y Proyectos GEM

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor internal control processes associated with Government Banking and Infrastructure (GEM) to ensure compliance with current policies and procedures.
• Identify operational risks, deviations, and areas of opportunity, proposing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports regarding the status of internal controls and detected deviations.
• Support business areas in process improvement and efficiency while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Validate and document controls for new products, processes, or initiatives within the Government Banking sector.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely follow-up on observations.
• Act as an operational liaison between business, risk, audit, and compliance departments.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in similar roles.
• Proven experience in the banking sector, specifically in Controllership, Audit, Risk, or Internal Control.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk management.
• Deep understanding of financial regulations and banking processes.
• Skills in process analysis and continuous improvement.
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.
• Experience specifically within Government Banking processes.
