About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, collect and log construction material samples for testing
- Perform routine laboratory and field testing using diverse methodologies
- Set up, calibrate, maintain and clean testing equipment and work areas
- Correlate test data and prepare detailed technical reports
- Communicate findings to customers and build strong client relationships
- Drive continuous improvement in laboratory safety, efficiency and quality
- Mentor and guide Assistant Geotechnicians and Technical Assistants
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or qualification in Civil Engineering
- Previous experience working within a laboratory environment
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Approved NATA Signatory status in Rocks, Aggregate, Concrete or Masonry
