Geotechnician

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect and log construction material samples for testing
• Perform routine laboratory and field testing using diverse methodologies
• Set up, calibrate, maintain and clean testing equipment and work areas
• Correlate test data and prepare detailed technical reports
• Communicate findings to customers and build strong client relationships
• Drive continuous improvement in laboratory safety, efficiency and quality
• Mentor and guide Assistant Geotechnicians and Technical Assistants

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or qualification in Civil Engineering
• Previous experience working within a laboratory environment
• Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Approved NATA Signatory status in Rocks, Aggregate, Concrete or Masonry
