About the role
Responsibilities
- Conducting geotechnical field investigations, including field drilling, site reconnaissance, and marking exploration locations
- Obtaining necessary permits and coordinating with vendors
- Reviewing boring logs and preparing data in gINT
- Performing engineering analyses based on available data
- Preparing technical memoranda and reports under the guidance of senior staff
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering
- Experience with field drilling
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Valid California driver’s license
- Ability to travel to project sites and other offices
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Geotechnical Engineering
- Experience with foundation design, liquefaction analysis, slope stability, settlement evaluation, retaining wall design, or pavement design
