Geotechnical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on complex geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff
• Manage and deliver geotechnical field investigations across various sectors
• Manage, analyse, and carry out geotechnical reporting for projects
• Participate in training activities, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to other engineers
• Help prepare tenders, proposals, and technical reports for clients
• Provide safety leadership by identifying and alleviating high-priority safety hazards
• Support stakeholder engagement activities and participate in industry groups

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology
• Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in a consulting environment
• Experience managing geotechnical field investigations, including soil and rock logging
• Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design, including rock, soil, and structure interaction
• Strong technical report writing and client communication skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally for up to 14 days at a time
• Australian Citizenship is preferred due to project and client requirements
