Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training

Responsibilities

• Deliver field and office-based geotechnical services supporting infrastructure and development projects
• Carry out field testing programs including in-situ density testing, materials testing, and construction monitoring
• Complete construction site reconnaissance, inspections, and observations to verify geotechnical conditions
• Lead or assist with subsurface investigation programs, including drill rig supervision, borehole/test pit logging, and soil/groundwater sampling
• Apply geotechnical software and specialized equipment to prepare analyses, visualizations, and technical deliverables
• Summarize findings from investigations and laboratory testing to support design discussions and client reports

Requirements

• Degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering (or equivalent education/experience)
• Registration or eligibility for Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status with EGBC
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
• Passion for fieldwork and the ability to work independently in dynamic environments
