Geotechnical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in the 24-month ADVANCE graduate program to transition from student to professional
• Conduct engineering design, calculations, and sketches under the supervision of experienced engineers
• Collect and analyze geotechnical data to support project requirements
• Use engineering software to solve basic technical problems
• Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules
• Develop expertise in areas such as foundation design, earthworks, slope design, and ground improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited university
• Degree subject in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Geological Engineering
• Strong analytic and design skills
• A keen interest in geotechnical investigations and foundation design
• Ability to use engineering software and a willingness to learn specialized packages (e.g., Plaxis, Slope/W)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science or Engineering in a relevant field
• PhD in a relevant engineering or geological discipline
