Geotechnical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations, soil sampling, and geotechnical testing to gather and analyze engineering data.
• Perform geotechnical calculations, modeling, and analysis to support foundation design and slope stability assessments.
• Develop detailed geotechnical reports, design calculations, and technical specifications in compliance with UAE building codes and international standards.
• Collaborate with civil and structural engineering disciplines to integrate geotechnical solutions into broader project designs.
• Utilize CAD software and specialized geotechnical analysis tools to create drawings and models.
• Conduct field supervision and monitoring activities, proposing corrective approaches when challenges arise.
• Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and resource plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS or GeoStudio.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation design.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and local geotechnical requirements.
• Experience with site investigations, soil testing, and field supervision.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or commitment to pursuing licensure.
