Geotechnical Driller

Responsibilities

• Operate truck-mounted, track-mounted, and portable drilling rigs including auger, hollow-stem auger, and mud rotary
• Set up and rig down equipment, install casings, and perform site layout per engineer specifications
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on drilling equipment, pumps, and compressors
• Monitor drilling parameters to ensure sample integrity and safety
• Maintain accurate field records including drill logs, depth checks, and daily reports
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols including PPE and lockout/tagout
• Communicate effectively with site personnel, clients, and subcontractors

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 60+ pounds throughout the day
• Ability to work under adverse weather and site conditions
• Good or corrected vision and manual dexterity

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–5 years of drilling or field construction experience
• Geotechnical drilling experience
• CDL with tanker endorsement
• OSHA 10/30, confined space entry, H2S awareness, or first aid/CPR certifications
• Technical/trade certificate or associate degree in drilling or construction
