About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute soil and rock testing according to ASTM, AASHTO, and ISRM standards
- Prepare samples through drying, quartering, crushing, and sieving
- Perform tests including Granulometry, Atterberg Limits, Proctor, CBR, Direct Shear, UCS, and Triaxial tests
- Verify equipment calibration and status
- Comply with ISO 17025 quality procedures
- Record results in physical and digital formats
- Ensure sample traceability
- Maintain laboratory order, cleanliness, and safety
- Control inventory of materials and consumables
- Report deviations or non-conformities
Requirements
- Technical degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Soils and Pavements, or Materials Laboratory
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a geotechnical or materials laboratory
- Experience in Mining, Construction, or Oil & Gas projects is desirable
- Driver's License A1 is desirable
Preferred Qualifications
- Courses in geotechnics or soil mechanics
- Diploma or Master's in Geotechnics/Rock Mechanics
