About the role

Responsibilities

  • Apply fundamental geological and geophysical skills, including subsurface mapping, log analysis, seismic interpretation, stratigraphy, and structural analysis
  • Integrate multidisciplinary subsurface data such as formation evaluation, production, drilling, and completions for opportunity generation and development planning
  • Evaluate uncertainties in reservoir and productivity parameters to estimate in-place and ultimate recovery ranges
  • Manage opportunity generation, maturation, and stewardship of well proposals, including identifying new acreage through primary geologic work
  • Perform well planning and pre-drill preparation for horizontal or vertical wells in unconventional reservoirs
  • Support drilling operations through landing and geo-steering of horizontal wells to maintain the wellbore within the geologic target
  • Collect and interpret company and competitor well performance data to assess trends and improve field development plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Earth Science, Geology, Geophysics, or a related field
  • Minimum 7.0 GPA or equivalent from a recognized university
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in development and production geology after graduation
  • Experience with geological analysis software suites such as Petrel, Kingdom, or Petra
  • Proficiency in English and strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse multidisciplinary teams both in person and virtually
  • Willingness to travel periodically based on business needs
