Geophysicist

Responsibilities

• Support projects related to geophysical data collection, analysis, and modeling
• Focus on underground facility characterization and WMD threat analysis
• Develop test procedures and write technical reports
• Document field activities, equipment status, and test procedures
• Perform field work in outdoor and remote testing locations

Requirements

• BS degree in a physical science (Geophysics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in data acquisition and test development
• Advanced skills in digital signal processing, geophysical modeling, and interpretation
• Hands-on experience in algorithm development and machine learning
• Experience with seismic, acoustic, electromagnetic, and GPR sensors
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, R, or C/C++
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 50+ lbs
• Willingness to travel 10-15%
• Current SECRET security clearance and U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• MS degree in a related physical science field
• Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community projects
• Experience in artificial intelligence and data analytics
• Experience managing field logistics and equipment inventory
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
