Geology and Materials Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological analysis related to terrain, soils, bedrock, hydrology, geomorphology, and environmental conditions
• Translate complex geologic data into clear, mission-relevant assessments and written products for senior leaders, planners, and operational staff
• Support time-sensitive and long-term projects by evaluating subsurface and environmental factors affecting mobility, construction feasibility, resource availability, and operational risk in austere environments
• Brief senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams on geologic findings, risks, and implications

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• 4+ years of experience as a geologist or geoscientist supporting government, DoD, or national security missions
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science, or Geological Engineering
• Experience conducting applied geologic analysis, including soil and rock characterization, hydrology, or terrain stability
• Proven experience producing technical reports and analytical products for decision-making audiences
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting projects or operations within the AFRICOM Area of Responsibility
• Experience with intelligence analysis and DIA analytic standards
• Experience with the geology of austere, remote, or developing environments
• Experience working with MASINT or large, complex geologic datasets
