Geologist

Responsibilities

• Analyze geological data and prepare technical reports
• Evaluate potential environmental risks and impacts
• Develop and implement remediation plans
• Manage projects, tasks, scheduling, and cost controls
• Oversee remedial/removal actions and munitions response projects
• Conduct field sampling and soil/groundwater investigations
• Perform business development and proposal preparation
• Supervise and mentor personnel
• Manage client expectations and communicate with regulatory agencies
• Use specialized software and equipment for data analysis and mapping

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental/engineering consulting, remedial actions, or munitions response
• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
• 40-hour OSHA certification and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to write project work plans, health and safety plans, and erosion control plans
• Ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time to project sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Earth Science, or Environmental Science
• M.S., P.G., or other professional certifications
• Experience managing environmental/remediation construction
• Experience contributing to project proposals
