Geologist/Environmental Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform various field and office tasks applying standard geological principles and theories
• Classify and describe soil and rock samples accurately using available geological data
• Collect and analyze environmental samples including soil, surface water, groundwater, and sediment
• Provide technical guidance for stratigraphic and groundwater drilling programs
• Assist in the development of geological mapping, cross sections, and potentiometric surface maps
• Analyze and interpret geological, hydrogeological, and hydrogeochemical data
• Prepare geologic reports and materials based on completed field work
• Monitor and guide the work of lower-level geologists when required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of related professional work experience
• Proficiency in soil classification and geological mapping
• Experience with groundwater flow modeling and computer software for geological analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel to various field sites as required
