Geochemist/Oilfield Geochemistry Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design and develop geochemistry testing and interpretation service offerings for the oil and gas market
• Act as a technical specialist for analytical services, including sample planning, handling, and testing
• Coordinate laboratory and field technical activities to ensure data quality and project delivery
• Validate technical proposals, methodologies, and commercial assumptions
• Prepare and review technical reports, interpretation summaries, and client-facing documentation
• Support business growth by developing internal SOPs, training materials, and service standards
• Provide technical advisory support to customers regarding geochemistry scope and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with sales teams on technical proposals and customer engagement

Requirements

• PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Chemistry, Petroleum Geoscience, or Earth Science
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in geochemistry or oil and gas laboratory services
• Required laboratory experience within the oil and gas industry
• Experience in geochemistry testing, sample analysis, and data interpretation
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites, laboratories, and field locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with major oil operators such as PETRONAS or Shell
• Experience in reservoir/rocks laboratory, wellsite analysis, or field analytical services
• Exposure to service development and technical proposal support
