Genetec Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of the Genetec Security Center platform, including Omnicast and Synergis
• Manage a large-scale, multi-site hybrid environment consisting of Directory, Archiver, and Failover servers
• Install, configure, and maintain Genetec servers, cloud access control systems, and wired IP cameras
• Lead large-scale security infrastructure projects from design to implementation
• Coordinate with contractors, integrators, and internal IT, database, and facilities teams
• Ensure system compliance with agency and cybersecurity standards through scheduled patching and updates
• Architect enterprise-wide federated Genetec Security Center deployments including high-availability configurations and SQL mirroring
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to junior Genetec administrators

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 4 years of experience in datacenter engineering, cloud engineering, or complex IT infrastructure (if degree is held)
• 8 years of experience in datacenter engineering, cloud engineering, or complex IT infrastructure (if no degree is held)
• Experience with Genetec Security Center, Omnicast, or Synergis preferred
