Generator Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers
• Install and replace components, fuel/water supply lines, pumps, and electrical wiring
• Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure readiness
• Respond promptly to power and generator alarms, including 24/7 on-call availability
• Follow blueprints and design specifications for installations and repairs
• Adhere to all safety practices regarding electrical equipment and potential hazards

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance
• Two or more years of generator maintenance experience preferred
• Thorough knowledge of generator installation, repair, and electrical/mechanical components
• Basic knowledge of FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform physical tasks like climbing, kneeling, and standing
• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Willingness to travel long distances and work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
