Generator Technician

Responsibilities

• Repair and service all makes and models of generator sets
• Inspect, repair, service, and perform start-up load bank tests on equipment
• Troubleshoot generator components including alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices, and battery systems
• Perform engine technical tasks including inspection, failure analysis, assembly, and diagnosis
• Identify problems and causes of failure through logical troubleshooting and determine corrective actions
• Communicate effectively with all Power Systems team members and provide innovative solutions to customers
• Maintain safety standards by utilizing correct PPE and following safe rigging principles

Requirements

• Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU, or Volvo engines
• Valid Driver's License and the ability to obtain DOT physical certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and work in adverse weather conditions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Calendar
• Certification in fork-lift and skid steer operations
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screen
• Competency in safely driving trucks with trailers
