Generator Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall commissioning of generators, motors, and hydro generator auxiliaries
• Manage the commissioning of excitation systems and generator protection equipment
• Perform dry and wet commissioning tests, including CW system testing
• Prepare risk assessments for all commissioning activities
• Implement proper site safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) and PTW (Permit to Work)
• Coordinate with installation, engineering, vendor, and subcontractor teams
• Prepare technical protocols and manage the closing of punch list items

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in hydro commissioning, including PSP (Pumped Storage Plant) environments
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Strong technical knowledge of generator excitation and protection systems
• Proven experience with BOP (Balance of Plant) equipment commissioning
• Solid understanding of LOTO, PTW, and HSE requirements
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Experience working on international/abroad projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M)
• Multi-skill capabilities for various commissioning tasks
