Oligo is building a manufacturing-in-the-loop foundation model to automate spacecraft design and production worldwide. Leveraging cutting edge AI-driven generative design and automated manufacturing, our team works to create the most advanced payload-specific spacecraft at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement flight software components within the F-prime framework for bare-metal and resource-constrained systems
- Architect F-prime topology and pattern design for modularity and reliability
- Develop and integrate RTOS solutions tailored for bare-metal targets
- Modify and optimize CMake build systems for complex flight software projects
- Develop and debug software interfacing directly with hardware using various communication protocols
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, avionics, and mission operations teams
- Execute unit, integration, and system tests including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) setups
- Author critical documentation including software architecture designs and ICDs
- Drive root-cause analysis for complex software and hardware interactions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field
- 3+ years of experience in high-reliability embedded software development
- Proven expertise with the F-prime flight software framework
- Practical experience with RTOS development for bare-metal systems
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded environments
- Experience with CMake, Git, GitLab, and Jira
- Solid understanding of the OSI model and communication protocols
- Ability to carry 40lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a related field
- 5+ years of experience in spacecraft, aerospace, robotics, or autonomous vehicles
- Experience with ML/AI implementation in embedded systems
- Familiarity with CCSDS, SpaceWire, CAN, SPI, Ethernet/IP, UART, or I2C
- Experience with GTest, PyTest, and HITL simulation environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for C++ software
