About the role

About the Company

Oligo is building a manufacturing-in-the-loop foundation model to automate spacecraft design and production worldwide. Leveraging cutting edge AI-driven generative design and automated manufacturing, our ex-MIT, Harvard, and NASA JPL team works to create advanced payload-specific spacecraft at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy vision-language models (VLMs) to parse technical documents into engineering constraints
  • Build and train reinforcement learning agents for multivariable design space exploration
  • Design CNN-based topology optimizers for structural mass reduction
  • Construct multi-agent AI systems that simulate and iteratively redesign spacecraft configurations
  • Contribute to infrastructure for automated, high-context model training using flight and simulation data
  • Interface with physical simulation tools and CAD environments to ground designs in physical constraints
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate code via thermal chambers and vibration tables

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, ML/AI, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience building advanced ML systems (deep learning, RL, or LLM agent frameworks)
  • Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
  • Experience with modern tooling such as LangChain, Ray, FastAPI, DVC, or Docker
  • Experience in VLMs, reinforcement learning, CNN architectures, or physics-informed ML
  • Ability to manage tradeoffs between simulation fidelity, inference speed, and manufacturability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating with CAD kernels (OpenCascade, Onshape, or SolidWorks API)
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and multi-agent system design
  • Hands-on experience prototyping or debugging hardware systems
  • Experience with engineering project teams or research groups focused on real hardware
  • Familiarity with spacecraft concepts, astrodynamics, or control systems

Benefits

  • Equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Medical (Platinum coverage), Vision, & Dental Insurance
  • On-site catering provided daily
