General Yard Hand

Responsibilities

• Assist with stock control of capital equipment, batteries, and chargers
• Unload and load containers and transport deliveries safely and accurately
• Allocate batteries and chargers to units and ensure battery rotation and readiness
• Assemble, pack, and despatch internal and external orders
• Maintain clear stock identification, storage areas, and walkways
• Assist with regular stocktakes and reconciliation
• Maintain yard and warehouse presentation, cleanliness, and safety
• Support service and workshop teams with day-to-day operational needs

Requirements

• Experience in warehousing, yards, or hands-on operational roles (desirable)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work safely in a physical, fast-paced environment
• Interest in machinery, equipment, trades, or technical career pathways
• Overhead Crane Licence is advantageous
