General Utility Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Inspect and troubleshoot malfunctioning utility systems, including pumps, valves, generators, compressors, and motors
• Lay, fit, and repair pipes for water, wastewater, steam, or compressed air systems
• Perform general structural and HVAC maintenance
• Adhere to safety protocols including confined space entry and Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Maintain logs of completed work orders and parts inventory

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Skilled in general maintenance for building and facility utility systems
• Experience in industrial maintenance, plant operations, or a mechanical trade
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor and work in varying weather or confined spaces
• Ability to pass a government background check
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
