About the role
Responsibilities
General Technician Assembly
- Prepare weld areas to ensure structural integrity and proper penetration
- Assemble, disassemble, and fasten parts using various hand and power tools
- Perform routine inspections to ensure material and work output meet quality specifications
- Sort and separate defective materials and parts
- Collaborate with peers to complete projects and participate in group meetings
Process Technician Pre-Paint
- Prepare paint areas and mask components to meet application specifications
- Apply paint using appropriate spray techniques and equipment adjustments
- Mix paints and work with solvents following safety precautions
- Identify paint defects and maintain spray equipment
- Perform all tasks while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow work procedures
- Ability to stand, crouch, and climb for 10 hours per day in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis
- Legal authorization to work in the US on an unrestricted basis
- Ability to work in awkward positions, on ladders, or scaffolding
Preferred Qualifications
For General Technician roles:
- Experience using hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, fastening tools, etc.)
- Experience with body repair
- Ability to achieve high performance goals in a changing environment
For Process Technician roles:
- At least one year of hands-on automotive experience
- At least three months of automotive painting experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
