About the role
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and surgically treat benign and malignant breast diseases
- Perform various surgical procedures including lumpectomies, mastectomies, and sentinel lymph node biopsies
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care
- Guide patients through treatment options and provide dedicated follow-up care
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and tumor boards
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of General Surgery residency with a specialized fellowship in Breast Surgery
- Valid Department of Health (DOH) license to practice
- Proven experience in breast surgical procedures and patient management
- Strong knowledge of breast cancer protocols and multidisciplinary treatment approaches
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
