General Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Provide expert surgical assessment and intervention for acute surgical emergencies
• Manage urgent and complex surgical cases with timely and effective treatment plans
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, anesthesiology, and intensive care teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to their training in acute surgical care
• Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation for all patient encounters and procedures
• Stay current with advancements in acute surgical care through continuous professional development

Requirements

• Medical degree with specialization in General Surgery
• Board certification and proven expertise in acute surgical care or emergency surgery
• Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
• Extensive experience managing acute surgical emergencies in a hospital setting
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities under pressure
