General Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of general ultrasound scans including abdominal, gynaecological, early pregnancy, small parts, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Provide clear, accurate reports and escalate urgent findings appropriately
• Deliver a safe, compassionate, and professional patient experience
• Maintain excellent infection control, safety, and quality standards
• Support the training and development of junior staff and students
• Participate in audit, clinical governance, and service improvement activities

Requirements

• Current HCPC registration
• Demonstrable experience in general sonography (minimum 12 months post-qualification preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
