General Roadway Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, and tunnels
• Set up and remove traffic control devices including cones, message boards, and temporary signage
• Repair potholes, striping, reflectors, and delineators using concrete and asphalt
• Remove litter and debris from highways and medians
• Repair slopes, berms, culverts, and drains using hand and power tools
• Control vegetation using mowers, trimmers, and chemical sprayers
• Operate bucket trucks, ladders, and aerial platform lifts from heights
• Transport crew and equipment to work sites and perform equipment preventative maintenance

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years clean driving history
• Own reliable transportation
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Available for on-call emergency response including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to travel away from home periodically
• Able to work independently or within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher industry experience
• Equipment operation experience
• Bilingual capabilities
• First aid/CPR certification
• Advanced MOT certification
