About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and obtaining informed consent
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely
  • Assist in initial image interpretation and report significant findings to clinicians
  • Adhere to quality assurance protocols and health and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Provide guidance and support to junior radiographers and students

Requirements

  • Degree in Radiography or a related field
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Minimum 1-2 years post-qualification experience in a clinical setting
  • Experience in general radiography within the NHS or UK private sector
  • Proficiency in using imaging equipment and radiographic techniques
  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
