About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and obtaining informed consent
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely
- Assist in initial image interpretation and report significant findings to clinicians
- Adhere to quality assurance protocols and health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Provide guidance and support to junior radiographers and students
Requirements
- Degree in Radiography or a related field
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Minimum 1-2 years post-qualification experience in a clinical setting
- Experience in general radiography within the NHS or UK private sector
- Proficiency in using imaging equipment and radiographic techniques
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
