General Practitioner - Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for obstetric and gynaecological patients.
• Conduct initial assessments, physical examinations, and develop management plans for routine cases.
• Manage antenatal and postnatal care, including monitoring maternal and fetal well-being.
• Diagnose and treat common gynaecological conditions and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Assist in labor and delivery under supervision and support emergency obstetric cases.
• Identify complications and escalate high-risk cases promptly to Specialists or Consultants.
• Perform minor procedures and clinical interventions according to hospital guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including midwives and nurses, to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Valid Department of Health (DOH) license as a General Practitioner (or eligibility to obtain).
• 2–4 years of clinical experience in an Obstetrics & Gynaecology setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize high-risk cases.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS or PALS certification.
