General Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe appropriate treatments or investigations
• Implement medical screening programs in accordance with MOH and GCAA regulations
• Treat acute and chronic illnesses while providing preventative care and health education
• Manage emergency cases and perform minor surgical procedures
• Conduct medical assessments and refer complex cases to specialists
• Implement Occupational Health and Safety programs, including vaccination initiatives
• Supervise the treatment room, side laboratory, and imaging unit to ensure a hazard-free environment
• Complete medical and incident reports regarding investigations and employee treatments
• Participate in medical center audits and train medical staff to improve performance

Requirements

• Medical Doctor Certificate (Post Graduate degree preferred)
• Valid MOH License
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience as a General Practitioner or in a similar capacity
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database systems
• Ability to work a 24-hour shift pattern/roster
• Fluent in English (verbal and written); Arabic is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, team working, and communication skills
• Ability to learn and develop competency in Aviation Medicine
