General Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple fossil power production facilities to meet financial and operating objectives.
• Manage human resources responsibilities, including supervisory leadership, hiring, termination, and managing training programs for operations and maintenance personnel and subcontractors.
• Direct plant business and budget management, interfacing with the home office to propose and implement equipment modifications and plant improvements.
• Implement and maintain all plant procedures, site policies, training, safety programs, and work practices.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining safe and efficient facility operations.
• Act as a visible community representative, managing public relations and interactions with local customers, steam hosts, and utilities.
• Establish operational objectives and work plans, delegating assignments to subordinate managers and senior professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• 15+ years of experience in electrical generation power plants.
• Deep technical knowledge of power plant startup, operations, and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
